Au Forum Du Bâtiment equips with SCALLOG robotic solution, coupled with Reflex WMS
AFDB, a professional hardware start-up based in the Touraine region of France, has robotized its new Joué-Lès-Tours site with the SCALLOG solution and Reflex WMS to optimize order preparation and management.
Freshly set up in Touraine to establish its headquarters and logistics, AFDB, this “start-up” (€180 million, 730 employees and nearly 100 points of sale) of the professional construction hardware store has wasted no time in robotizing its new site in Joué-Lès-Tours.
With 10 years of experience in the preparation of more than 5,000 parcels per day thanks to its automated stacker crane in Chambly (Oise, Hauts-de-France), Au Forum Du Bâtiment has this time opted for the French leader in robotic order preparation SCALLOG, with its “Goods To Person” solution.
More specifically, these are mobile shelves, moving at high speed thanks to robots to order picking stations, over an area of more than 2,000 m².
More than 50,000 references, spread over more than 20,000 m² (the total surface area of the building being 50,000 m²) will be available for sale on D+1 by mid-2025.
From the screw box to the tractor, including the bag of fittings and the electric water heater, not to mention of course the 3-point lock, all these references will soon be gathered in the same place, to be delivered in a single order.
At the same time, AFDB has acquired Hardis’ Reflex WMS (Warehouse Management System) software to optimize and automate the management of warehouse operations and thus further improve its performance.
