Wesco robotises its warehouse with Scallog

Wesco, a major company in the child sector, is deploying Scallog’s solution to automate its logistics warehouse based in Cerizay (Nouvelle-Aquitaine), which dispatches 3000 to 5000 parcels a day throughout France and more than 50 countries.

Robots to deliver faster and for customers satisfaction !

One of Wesco’s core values is customer satisfaction. A historical supplier of communities and professionals in the field of childhood, Wesco was one of the first companies in its sector to launch e-commerce in 2008. Today, it represents ⅓ of its commercial activity.

A significant development that is accompanied by new expectations from its professional and private customers: immediate availability of its entire collection, shipping and faster delivery, rigorous monitoring of deliveries, etc.
Faced with the acceleration of the flows, Wesco wanted to be proactive:

« As our logistics business is changing with e-commerce, we were looking for an agile solution to support our development. We were seduced by the principle of mobile shelves developed by Scallog. It is a flexible solution without heavy investment compared to traditional bins moving solutions. In addition, the Scallog solution is 100% Made in France.» says Bertrand Vigneron, CEO of WESCO.

The Scallog solution to support the rise of WESCO.

To increase flexibility and productivity while improving the working conditions of its employees, Wesco has been thinking about setting up a “Goods to Man” solution. After a study of the market, the solution developed by Scallog was chosen for its flexibility, its speed of installation and its ability to interface with the system of conveyors and the existing stations.

The Scallog WCS system, coupled with the Infflux WMS BEXT, optimizes the controls and the shelves’ movement in order to speed up the preparation times. Guided by the “Spot-to-Light” light pointer when taking products, the operator can manage up to 100 commands in parallel.

« With this new picking system, we will be able to absorb our peaks of activity such as back to school or the holidays season. It’s a very easy-to-use solution that has made change simple for our employees.» says Arnaud Gaborieau, logistics director at Wesco.
